1. Is Halloween Horror Nights a separately ticketed event?
Yes, Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event; it is not included with regular theme park admission. In order to attend, you must purchase a ticket specifically for the event.

2. Where is the event located?
Halloween Horror Nights takes place at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

3. Is this event appropriate for children?
This event may not be suitable for children because of its mature content. Halloween Horror Nights is intended to be a frightening event, and it may be found too intense for some children. Additionally, some content may be found inappropriate for children.

4. Is there an age restriction for this event?
While Universal recommends guests be at least 13 years of age to attend, they will not deny access to anyone under that age limit.

5. Where can I purchase a ticket?

6. What is included in my ticket?
Your Halloween Horror Nights ticket includes access to all houses, shows, and scare zones at the Halloween Horror Nights event. Select special experiences, should they be available, may be an additional cost, however.

7. What time does the event start and end?
Halloween Horror Nights officially begins at 6:30 PM. Closing times will vary based on your visit. You can view the exact times for your visit on our Halloween Horror Nights planning guide under the “Dates” tab.

8. What will happen if it rains?
The event itself occurs rain or shine; however, it should be noted that the entertainment schedule may change due to inclement weather. Additionally, should flooding occur in any houses, they may be temporarily closed.

9. Can I dress up for the event?
Universal Studios Hollywood prohibits masks and costumes in the park.

10. Am I permitted to take photos and videos?
According to Universal’s policies, you are permitted to take photos at the event, but you may not use flash photography in the houses. Additionally, while you can record videos in the park, you cannot do so in the houses.

11. What is Universal Express?
Universal Express for Halloween Horror Nights is not to be confused with Universal Express for the daytime. Universal Express for Halloween Horror Nights is the event’s express line system. The pass allows guests to wait in a separate line at all houses and open rides for significantly shorter wait times.

11. Will there be any food available?
Food will be available for you to purchase at stands throughout the park and at select restaurants.
