How we determine recommended audience:

The recommended audience for each experience is determined based on the intensity level and content. Intense roller coasters, for example, are generally recommended to teens. This is because this age group typically enjoys the thrill factor of such attractions; however, other age groups may like such rides as well. Moderate roller coasters with immense detail, on the other hand, may be recommended to all audiences. Other attractions that we will recommend to all audiences include most simulator rides as they are less intense. We will suggest some attractions and shows for families if it’s an experience we think all members will enjoy together. Experiences for young children are usually designed specifically for those under the age of six (6); whereas, experiences for children, in most cases, are intended for those 12 years of age and under. Each person may prefer different experiences.

1 Universal Express is Universal Orlando’s express line system. The pass allows guests to wait in a separate line at most attractions and experience significantly shorter wait times. At shows, guests with an Express pass are granted early access to the venue for better seats. Passes can be purchased in advance at universalorlando.com or in-park. The resort offers a variety of Express passes.
2 Universal’s Virtual Line system is a complimentary system that allows guests to virtually wait in line. At Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, guests select a return time so that they may experience the rest of the park. At the return time, guests can head back to the attraction and experience a significantly shorter physical line. Times may be reserved using the official Universal Orlando Resort app while in the park or by using a kiosk near the attraction’s entrance. At Volcano Bay, guests visit a kiosk and receive an estimated virtual wait time. They are then alerted when to return to the attraction. Availability may change.
3 Park-to-park tickets allow guests to visit more than one park in a day. This ticket option is required to board the Hogwarts Express because it serves as a transportation system that connects two parks.
