1. What is the difference between Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Park?
Disneyland Resort comprises of two theme parks, a shopping complex, and multiple on-site hotels. Disneyland Park is one of two theme parks within Disneyland Resort.

2. What is Downtown Disney District?
Downtown Disney District is a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. Here, you can catch a bowl, shop, and enjoy various quick service and full service restaurants. The complex is located within the entrances to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure; but can be accessed nearby Disneyland Hotel as well.

3. Where is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge located?
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located at the back of Disneyland Park.

4. How can I board the Disneyland Monorail?
The Disneyland Monorail is a ride that also serves as a transportation system that connects Downtown Disney District and Disneyland Park. You can board the monorail inside Disneyland Park in the Tomorrowland area; this is included with your theme park admission. You can also choose you to board at Downtown Disney District; however, because the monorail stops inside Disneyland Park, you are required to have a valid theme park ticket.

6. What is Disney FASTPASS?
Disney FASTPASS is Disneyland Resort’s complimentary express line system. The system allows guests to visit a kiosk and receive a return time. At the return time, guests can head back to the attraction using a separate line and experience a significantly shorter wait time. It also provides specialty viewing locations for shows. Disney FASTPASS selections are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed.

7. What is Disney MaxPass?
Disney MaxPass is a paid service that allows guests to conveniently reserve FASTPASS return times via their mobile devices. Reservations for attractions and shows can only be made while on property. Availability may change. Guests using Disney MaxPass will utilize the FASTPASS line and experience significantly shorter wait times. The service essentially offers an enhanced and effortless experience version of the Disney FASTPASS system. Additionally, Disney MaxPass allows for unlimited Disney PhotoPass photo downloads from the day, granting access to on-ride images and more. Passes can be purchased at disneyland.com.

8. What is Single Riders?
Disneyland Resort offers a Single Riders queue for select attractions throughout their parks. The Single Riders line is intended for those riding the attraction alone, but it can also be utilized by groups of people. However, it should be noted that those entering the Single Riders line in a group will be separated from each other. The line operates by placing guests in the Single Riders queue in rows or vehicles that are not fully occupied by a group who waited in the regular line or Disney FASTPASS line. Due to this, the Single Riders line may have a shorter wait time than the regular line. Single Rider is based on availability and is subject to change without notice.

9. What is Rider Switch?
Disney’s Rider Switch is designed to accommodate those traveling with younger guests. All members of a party can enter a line together. Shortly before riding, the child/baby and at least one adult or supervising guest who is at least 14 years old must wait in a designated area while the other members experience the ride. Once the other members return, they can watch the child/baby while the member who waited rides the attraction. This service makes it easy for all members of a group to experience an attraction if they’re traveling with a baby or a child who either cannot or does not want to ride.

10. Does Disneyland Resort offer a dining plan?
Disneyland Resort’s dining plan was discontinued, so guests are not able to purchase a dining plan. This information, however, can change.

11. What is Disney PhotoPass?
Disney PhotoPass is Disneyland Resort’s photography service. Throughout the parks and on select rides, photographers or automated cameras can capture your moments. You can then purchase the images and choose to personalize them as well.

12. What are the height restrictions for the attractions?

15. Do the parks close during thunderstorms?
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are open all days of the year, including during thunderstorms. However, outdoor attractions will close if lightning is in the area.

16. Can I give my ticket to another person if I haven’t used it or completed the remaining days?
Tickets are nontransferable, so a ticket purchased under your name must be used by you.

17. Does Disneyland Resort offer meals for vegetarians or vegans?

Prior to entering the theme parks, security will scan your personal belongs. You may also be required to pass through a metal detector.

20. What items are not permitted in the park?

21. Is there Wi-Fi available?
Disneyland Resort offers complimentary Wi-Fi at all parks, Downtown Disney District, and all on-site hotels.

22. Are their services for guests with disabilities?
Disney provides services for guests with disabilities, including but not limited to, cognitive, hearing, and mobility disabilities. Guests who use a chailchair, ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle), or another device may also be accommodated. Additionally, service animals are welcome at the resort. 23. Are there First Aid stations located at the parks?

Strollers and wheelchairs are available for rent near the entrance to Disneyland Park.

26. Are there locker facilities available?
Locker facilities are available to guests throughout the destination. Guests can choose to rent a locker for a fee.

27. Am I allowed to smoke on the property?
According to Disneyland Resort’s policies, you are not permitted to smoke in the theme parks, the Esplanade between the parks, or Downtown Disney District.
