Disneyland Park Touring Plan

Touring plans make it easy for you to get the most out of your trip by outlining the order you should visit attractions and shows, allowing you to enjoy the top experiences in the park.

This touring plan was created for those visiting Disneyland Park. This touring plan is designed to be used for those visiting the park for a single day as well as for multiple days. Those visiting both Disneyland Resort parks on the same day may still take advantage of this plan.

Prior to visiting Disneyland Resort, we recommend that you download the official Disneyland Resort app on the App Store or the Google Play Store. The app provides wait times, showtimes, a resort-wide map, and more.

You should fully review the information in this touring plan prior to using it to ensure the attractions you wish to experience are prioritized.

ENTERING THE PARK

We recommend getting to the park turnstiles at least 45 minutes prior to park opening, especially during summer, U.S. holiday weekends, and other break periods. When you have entered the park, you can grab a guide map to help locate the park’s attractions and shows and to view showtimes as well as other details. If you download the official Disneyland Resort app, this information and more can be accessed on it.

Experience Within First or Last Few Hours

The following attractions typically experience the longest wait times, so we suggest visiting them as soon as possible or a few hours prior to park closing due to their slightly shorter wait times during these periods. These attractions are not listed based on the order that you should visit them. You should rank the attractions based on their importance to you and/or proximity to each other and visit them in that order. We highly recommend getting a FASTPASS for at least one of the attractions in this section, if available.

TIP: If you’re only visiting the park for a single day, we recommend eating breakfast prior to arriving at the park in order to experience more attractions. It’s important to remember, however, that you shouldn’t rush your way to every attraction. Take time to enjoy the different areas of the park, especially Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Cherish your memories by taking photographs with characters and at the various themed areas.

NOTE: This touring plan lists most attractions and shows at the park, so you may not be able to visit them all in a single day. You should select the attractions that you’re most interested in.

DISNEY FASTPASS: You should take advantage of Disney’s complimentary FASTPASS service, especially for at least one of the top priority experiences, which are listed under the section titled “Experience Within First or Last Few Hours.” This will allow you to visit more attractions during the day. To use Disney’s FASTPASS service, simply visit a kiosk and you’ll receive a return time that will allow you to return to the attraction via a separate queue with shorter wait times. At shows, on the other hand, you can enjoy specialty viewing locations. For more convenience, you can purchase Disney MaxPass to reserve FASTPASS return times via your mobile device.

ON-SITE HOTEL GUESTS: We recommend taking advantage of early park admission. This will allow you to visit more attractions at the park.

MOBILE ORDERING: If you’re dining at a quick service restaurant, you have the option to use Disney’s mobile ordering service at select locations via the Disneyland Resort app. This will allow you to easily select your meal and quickly pick up your food.

How we determine the recommended audience:

The recommended audience for each experience is determined based on the intensity level and content. Intense roller coasters, for example, are generally recommended to teens. This is because this age group typically enjoys the thrill factor of such attractions; however, other age groups may like such rides as well. Moderate roller coasters with immense detail, on the other hand, may be recommended to all audiences. Other attractions that we will recommend to all audiences include most simulator rides as they are less intense. We will suggest some attractions and shows for families if it’s an experience we think all members will enjoy together. Experiences for young children are usually designed specifically for those under the age of six (6); whereas, experiences for children, in most cases, are intended for those 12 years of age and under. Each person may prefer different experiences.
