Universal Orlando has so much for you to see and do. Every ride, attraction, show, and experience is highly themed, detailed, and totally interactive. While it’s great for you to experience everything there is to do at the resort, there are four things that you MUST see when visiting both of Universal Orlando’s world-class theme parks.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley is unlike anything you’ll ever see in a theme park. Diagon Alley is a cobbled wizarding alley and shopping area that is completely hidden from the Muggle world…until now. To enter the magical alley, you must pass through the brick walls as seen in the Harry Potter films. You will be greeted by wizards, witches, and a fire-breathing dragon atop Gringotts Bank. The themed area has several shows for you to enjoy, great restaurants, amazing shops, unique experiences, and of course…Gringotts Bank, which houses the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts attraction. The ride is both a roller coaster and a simulator at the same time! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley should be a main highlight to your day at the Universal Studios Florida park because it is simply amazing (and magical).

Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular

Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular: 100 Years of Movie Memories is a nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks, waterfall screens, fountains, and more. You can relive Universal’s most iconic films in horror, comedy, action, and more in an amazing tribute to 100 years of Universal movies. It is a fabulous experience and a great way to end your day at the park. This nighttime spectacular is not performed daily so be sure to check the park map to see if there is a scheduled show during your visit.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Hogsmeade is home to Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle. Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle are locations for wizards and witches in the Harry Potter series. In Hogsmeade, you’ll find famous businesses from the Harry Potter series such as Honeydukes, Three Broomsticks, and Hog’s Head. Beyond Hogsmeade Village lies the awe-inspiring Hogwarts Castle. The castle is home to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, a magical ride that takes you on a forbidden journey with Harry Potter and his friends. The attraction uses simulation, screens, live environments, and animatronics to create a realistic flight experience. I don’t want to spoil the ride for you so I won’t get into too much detail. Let’s just say it’s a journey you’ll never forget!

Jurassic Park Discovery Center

The Jurassic Park Discovery Center is usually skipped by most guests, but that doesn’t mean you should do it as well. The Discovery Center is one of Universal’s most interactive experiences! You can enjoy a hands-on interactive area where you can experience how dinosaurs see and hear in the world, visit a nursery and examine dinosaur eggs, and watch dinosaur eggs hatch. It may not seem like much, but it truly is amazing and really allows you to learn about dinosaurs and the past world. The Discovery Center building may seem recognizable to you if you’re a Jurassic Park fan.
