Krakatau


1. Krakatau Aqua Coaster
Experience the power of Krakatau on a canoe that slides upwards through the mists and into the dark twists and turns within the volcano before emerging with a plunge through a shimmering waterfall.

Our overview: The Krakatau Aqua Coaster is practically the combination of a roller coaster and a water slide. With its quick launches and fast drops with the combination of water, this is definitely one of the most thrilling rides in the park.


2. Ko’okiri Body Plunge

Climb to the top of the Krakatau volcano and brave a 125 feet high, 70-degree fall through a drop door into a pool of water.

Our overview: The Ko’okiri Body Plunge is definitely an attraction for thrill seekers. At 125 feet high, you’ll be plunged at a 70-degree drop from the towering volcano and splash into a pool of water below. This unpredictable attraction provides for an experience that’ll take your breath away.


3. Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides

From high atop the Krakatau volcano, you’ll be dropped by a trap door simultaneously with another guest and sent splashing into turquoise waters below.

4. Punga Racers

Punga Racers sends single riders on a manta ray mat sliding down four lanes through underwater sea caves.

5. Waturi Beach

Swim, splash, and relax right along the sparkling waters and warm waves of a sparkling lagoon at the foot of the mighty Krakatau volcano.

Our overview: Waturi Beach is the perfect place for everyone to spend time at, especially for those who just want to relax. Waturi Beach features numerous different wave effects ranging from choppy waves to crisscross waves. With a towering volcano featuring a sparkling waterfall just in the distance and a white sand beach, you’ll feel like you’re in a tropical oasis free from stress.


6. The Reef

Enjoy a peaceful leisure pool and watch other guests brave the Ko’okiri Body Plunge as it shoots straight through this 5.5-foot-deep pool.

7. Honu 
ika Moana

Enjoy two twisting, turning, multi-person slides that sweep up two massive walls, while ika Moana sprays water on you from the center of the raft.

8. Tot Tiki Reef

Play among splashy slides, a tot-sized water volcano, and a family of friendly tikis with spraying fountains. Plus, adorable whales spray and sing as kids raise and lower their hands.

Our overview: Tot Tiki Reef is home to slides and experiences for toddlers, providing a place for them to enjoy their day as well. The little one’s in your group will very much like the area’s smaller scale slides.


9. Runamukka Reef
This play place features bubbling geysers, water guns, slides, and dump cups. Shaded by fanciful bamboo sea creatures and waving seaweed, it’s the most playful spot in the park.

Our overview: Runamukka Reef is a play area for children to have fun in their own themed water playground. Runamukka Reef consists of several water slides, splash areas, and more. While the adults do their own thing, children can just enjoy their time here.


10. Kopiko Wai Winding River

Take a slow ride on the Kopiko Wai Winding River and ride through sprays of water and a magical night sky above as you pass beneath the lava rocks of the breathtaking volcano.

11. Taniwha Tubes
Try four twisting tracks of fun that spray jets of water when you least expect it and more.

Our overview: Taniwha Tubes consists of four different raft slides that each offer different levels of fun and excitement. The great thing about these attractions is that they are fun for everyone to enjoy, including older adults and children.

12. Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides
This six-person rafting adventure allows you to choose one of two paths or both.

Our overview: These raft attractions are perfect for families to join in on the fun together. Puihi, one of the raft slides, has a unique course with zero gravity hang time. Maku, the other raft slide, features bowl-like formations, sending you high above and side to side. Each slide is a truly fun experience that’s exhilarating.


13. Puka Uli Lagoon

This pool features elements fun for everyone, like bongo drums and spraying water.

14. TeAwa The Fearless River

Race along a roaring, watery onslaught of churning rapids and choppy waves.

Our overview: This attraction has powerful currents that drift you along the winding river at a fast pace, creating an experience that’s right for those who want to relax and join in on the thrills at the same time.

15. Ohyah & Ohno Drop Slides
Ascend the side of a cliff before plummeting down the twisting waters of the Ohyah Slide and dropping out four feet above the pool below. Then, brave the rope bridge and take the plunge down the Ohno Slide, a serpentine adventure that ends six feet above the awaiting pool.

Our overview: The Ohyah & Ohno Drop Slides are a great experience overall. These slides have several twists and turns with a final splashdown at 4 ft. or 6 ft. high into a 10 ft. pool of water. After one ride, you’ll want to go down several times.

NOTE: Universal’s Volcano Bay utilizes a Virtual Line system with the use of the TapuTapu waterproof wristband. Instead of physically waiting in line, guests must select an attraction they wish to experience using TapuTapu, and they will be alerted when it’s time to ride.
