In an announcement yesterday, Universal Orlando shared details on their new pair of hotels which were announced back in November (we wrote an article on this topic, which can be found here).

Officially dubbed Universal’s Endless Summer Resort, these two new hotels will make their way to Orlando starting in 2019. The first of the two hotels, the Surfside Inn & Suites will reside on the former site of the Wet ‘n Wild water park and will have rooms facing the massive lake that borders the property. Right across the street, the Dockside Inn & Suites will sprawl across the former parking lot of the old water park.  As the names imply, the resort will have a relaxed, beach-inspired theme, making it perfect for any vacation. Both hotels will be under the Loews brand, which operates all of the hotels on Universal Orlando’s property.

Perhaps the biggest piece of information the park shared yesterday was details on the rooms and pricing. Regular rooms will start at rates around $73 a night. The suites, which will feature two bedrooms and a kitchenette, will go for around $111 a night, making it slightly cheaper than a standard room at Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Speaking of suites, Universal announced that over half the rooms across both hotels will be suites—1,450 in total, according to their blog post.

Despite the relatively cheap rates, both hotels will have benefits such as early-park admission and complimentary transportation to the theme parks and CityWalk, which are benefits present at other hotels around the resort. It is unclear at this point whether or not express passes will be available upon booking, but just as with Cabana Bay’s similar pricing, it is safe to assume these will not have express passes complimentary with your stay.

Universal’s Endless Summer Resort adds yet another value-priced property to Universal Orlando, but one that’s even more affordable. In fact, the starting price is actually cheaper or roughly the same as hotels nearby. This new property surely opens the door to a larger audience because of its price range. The great thing about the resort is that it’s not an ordinary hotel either; it’s brilliantly themed just as Universal’s existing hotels are. Universal’s Endless Summer Resort shows that it is possible to create a well-themed hotel that is also inexpensive.

As mentioned earlier, the Surfside Inn & Suites will open in 2019 and the Dockside Inn & Suites will arrive the following year in 2020.
