While you’re in full awe at Universal Studios by jumping from ride to ride or just walking through the varying splendid themed streets, it’s only natural that you’ll want to indulge in some of the appetizing food Universal has to offer. However, being a vegan can be a bit challenging when visiting the parks. Universal Orlando has a variety of restaurants on their property but only a few have some vegan options. Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food

If you love Mexican food just as much as I do then you won’t want to skip Antojitos. As a vegan, you’ll be pleased to know that you won’t be limited with options. Antojitos offers a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and even gluten-free options. The staff is very accommodating, and they’ll be happy to remove anything in your order that you don’t want, such as cheese, mayo, sour cream, etc. This phenomenal restaurant enraptures you with its beautiful theme, amazing food, and enlightening entertainment.

Auntie Anne’s

As a child, I loved getting a nice warm pretzel at the theme parks. However, since turning vegan, I was curious if whether or not Universal Orlando sold any of these salty treats that I’d be able to enjoy. As a matter of fact, they do. Auntie Anne’s fresh pretzels are indeed vegan! Be sure to ask for a fresh pretzel without butter.

Bob Marley – A Tribute to Freedom

Indulge yourself in the spectacular celebration of music, culture, and Jamaican-influenced cuisine. Although Bob Marley’s doesn’t offer many vegan options, the dining location does serve some appetizers that you can enjoy.

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

From what seems to be an unusual combination of sushi and burgers actually turns out to be a full-blown masterpiece. The environment is breathtaking, the food is scrumptious, and the staff is very accommodating. The burger menu does offer a vegetarian burger although it might not be vegan-friendly (the burger may contain eggs). Feel free to ask the waiter, and they’ll be sure to inform you. Furthermore, the sushi menu does offer two vegan and vegetarian options that I’m sure you’ll want to try.

Dippin’ Dots

On a hot day, it’s always refreshing when you can just sit down and enjoy a nice cold treat. Also, if you’re just craving something sweet to eat then head over to Dippin’ Dots. Most of the “ice” flavors are in fact vegan. You’ll be able to find quite of few of their stands located throughout Universal’s property.

At Starbucks, vegans will be pleased to know that they can choose between either almond, soy, and even coconut milk. It isn’t hard to order vegan at Starbucks. You can always check out their menu online to see what they put in their beverages. So, if you’re looking for a nice Frappuccino or just a hot coffee then Starbucks is your safe bet. You can find Starbucks locations in CityWalk, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventures, and select on-site hotels.

Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes

This astonishing shop contains an assortment of toys, gadgets, jokes, and even sweets. Luckily, there are two tasty treats that you can try out so you won’t feel left out. Be sure to snack on an edible Dark Mark Lollipop, which comes in a variety of flavors such as red cherry, sweet blueberry, green apple, purple grape, and orange. Also, before leaving don’t forget to pick up a box of dairy-free Puking Pastilles — this is a great way to get out of potions class.

The Leaky Cauldron

Located right across from Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes is the famous and quaint Leaky Cauldron that serves authentic British cuisine. Here’s a look at what you can get and how you can make your order vegan. Additionally, the margarine that’s used here is vegan.

Sugarplum’s Sweetshop

On the other side of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, you’ll find a colorful candy store that’ll make your mouth water. Here, you can purchase some vegan sweets, like Tooth Splintering Strong Mints, Pear Drops, Pineapple Cubes, Fizzy Wizzy, Sherbert Lemons, and more.

Honeydukes

Hop aboard the Hogwarts express to visit one of the most well-known candy stores in the Wizarding World — Honeydukes. Located in the snowy village of Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure, Honeydukes offers an assortment of sweets to choose from. Just like Sugarplum’s Sweetshop in Diagon Alley, you can find sweets that are vegan-friendly, including a jar of fiery Cinnamon Balls and Dumbledore’s favorite candy, Sherbet Lemons. Some other vegan sweets to try are Pepper Imps, Jumping Snakes, Blood Pops, and Fruit Slices.

The Magic Neep

Looking for something a bit healthier? Then stop by one of the Magic Neep carts that are located in both Hogsmeade and Diagon. An assortment of drinks such as Pumpkin Juice and Gillywater are sold here. Also, you can purchase fresh watermelon, grapes, and even oranges.

Three Broomsticks

While you’re in Hogsmeade, stop by the Three Broomsticks for the latest news in the Wizarding World and also for some delicious vegan meals. There are a lot of options to choose from at this establishment.

A great restaurant that gets serious points for accommodating to special diets goes to Mythos. It’s no wonder why this place has won best theme park restaurant. If you look on their menu, it tells you what can be made gluten-free and what’s vegan-friendly. As a bonus, Mythos is quite reasonably priced.
