Due to its location, size, and the fan favorite Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Studios Japan is a must see when traveling abroad. Located in Osaka, visitors from across the world are able to enjoy a variety of rides and attractions that range from child-friendly carousels to jaw-dropping roller coasters and ride simulators based on iconic films, such as Jurassic Park, Jaws, and Terminator. Additionally, you can experience the thrills that Universal Studios Japan has to offer by riding world-class attractions that are only found in Japan. Here’s a list of some of the top attractions throughout the park that cannot be found at any other Universal park.

1. Hollywood Dream – The Ride – Backdrop
Check out this exhilarating thrill ride that delivers promising twists, turns, and an unknown experience of plunges as you take on this coaster backward. This is what I call “the ultimate attraction for daredevils.” The coaster drops you about 140 feet, and your only view at this point is the sky. The feeling of not being able to see where you are going or even predict what’s coming next is definitely a thrilling experience! The only way you’ll be able to tell just how fast you’re going is from the gust of the wind that’s blowing from the back of your head. Be sure to get on this ride early, as the wait time tends to skyrocket later in the day due to its popularity.

2. Space Fantasy – The Ride
Hop on board a spaceship, and travel through space on an unforgettable journey to save the sun. Here, you’ll be able to experience and enjoy the vast yet glorious universe on a spinning roller coaster that races between hurtling asteroids as breathtaking starscapes fill in the room.

3. Jaws
Once located in both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood, Jaws is a classic attraction that millions of people are familiar with. In Japan, you can still experience the unforgettable boat tour all over again, explore the peaceful village of Amity . . . and come face-to-face with the infamous man-eating shark as you try to dodge and escape from his terror.

4. The Flying Dinosaur
Universal Japan introduces you to their state-of-the-art roller coaster which features the world’s longest track and furthest initial drop. During your adventure, an out-of-control Pteranodon seizes you from behind and raises you high into the sky. Fly on this thrilling attraction and experience swinging 360 degrees. On this attraction, you’ll be able to get an astonishing view of the wondrous and enchanting Jurassic Park.
