Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a high-speed roller coaster located directly behind Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and right next to the Music Plaza at the Universal Studios Florida theme park. This rockin’ coaster reaches top speeds of 65 miles per hour, towers 17 stories over the park in a 90-degree vertical lift, features the world’s largest non-inverted loop that is 103 feet wide, and features six near-miss moments and first-ever moves. In addition, you can also rock out to hit songs while riding the coaster and view your awesome on-board moments afterward with Universal’s special music video created just for you (available for purchase).

Revenge of the Mummy

Plunge into total darkness as you enter the sacred temple of the evil Imhotep, who is once again freed from his wraps and prepared to unleash his wrath. Revenge of the Mummy is an indoor roller coaster that launches guests upward at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour in virtual darkness. Revenge of the Mummy is highly recommended for thrill-seekers looking for a thrilling adventure in a highly themed environment.

TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D

Transformers is an action-packed franchise and most definitely an action-packed attraction. The ride uses 3D technology, screens, special effects, real sets, and simulation to bring the scenes and characters from the films to life. TRANSFORMERS: The Ride puts you directly in the greatest battle, where you’ll find yourself fighting alongside the Autobots and protecting the AllSpark from the evil foul Decepticons.

The Incredible Hulk Coaster

The Incredible Hulk Coaster is by far the best roller coaster at Universal Orlando. The coaster is highly recognized for its weightless zero-g roll, cobra roll, high-speed launch, top speeds, and “incredible” inversions. With the coaster now open after its almost year refurbishment, you can #HulkOut in an all-new way. The Incredible Hulk Coaster now features a brand new storyline, new ride vehicles, and an exclusive on-ride score composed by Patrick Stump, the lead singer of Fall Out Boy.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

This MARVELous attraction is definitely “amazing.” The attraction uses the same technology and ride system as TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D, located right next door at Universal Studios Florida. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man opened with Universal’s Islands of Adventure in 1999 and was the world’s first attraction to use a combination of moving, motion-based ride vehicles, 3-D film, and live action. In the attraction, you are put on the spot, following Spider-Man who is on a mission to save the Statue of Liberty, which has been stolen from the diabolical villains of the Sinister Syndicate. This simulator-based attraction features a virtual 400-foot freefall experience that feels as realistic as can be. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man has been described as “an incredibly sophisticated attraction” and “an immersive experience.” This thrilling attraction truly is worth a ride.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong

Skull Island: Reign of Kong is Universal Orlando’s newest ride yet — and a quite innovative one. The attraction uses a combination of 3D technology, animatronics, and sets/props to immerse guests into King Kong’s homeland — Skull Island. Unlike any of Universal’s existing thrill rides, there is not a track in sight. Reign of Kong uses sensor technology to maneuver the ride vehicles through its predetermined path. And just to add to the summary, Reign of Kong is almost six minutes in duration, making it the longest attraction at the resort. The all-new ride features a massive three-story tall King Kong animatronic that is about 18 feet wide and has a head as large as an automobile. In the attraction’s queue, natives will pop out from the gloom to scare you, creating a somewhat year-round Halloween Horror Nights atmosphere. Skull Island: Reign of Kong changes the definition of what a themed attraction is!

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is without a doubt the best dark ride ever created, whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or not. The grand entrance and highly detailed queue add onto the experience and make the attraction even more magical. On the ride itself, you’ll soar high above the castle grounds of Hogwarts and join Harry Potter and his friends on a magical and unforgettable adventure on-board a magical flying bench. Along the journey, you’ll come face-to-face with magical and demonic creatures. This fascinating attraction uses groundbreaking technology to create an authentic, one-of-a-kind, and magical experience. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey has been voted as the best new attraction in 2010 and the best dark ride in 2011 in the Golden Ticket awards.

Dragon Challenge

Although the dragons no longer duel as they did in the past, Dragon Challenge is still extremely favorable; it provides an electrifying experience. The ride features two “dragons,” each having their own different experience. Each dragon’s 2-minute and 25-second flight have several inversions such as the zero-g roll, the cobra roll, two corkscrews, and two vertical loops.
