For the first time ever, the scariest movie of all time will become a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights for both the east coast and the west coast. The Exorcist (released in 1973), directed by William Friedkin, is one of the most profitable horror movies ever released. The film received a whopping 8 out of 10 rating on IMDb and won awards in the Academy Awards, USA in 1974, and the Golden Globes, USA in 1974.

The horror film tells the tale of an exorcism that is supposedly based loosely on actual events. In the Exorcist, Regan, a teenage girl, is seen playing with an Ouija board, also known as a “spirit board.” When she begins to display strange behavior (levitating, speaking in tongues), her mother seeks medical help, only to reach a dead end. A local priest, however, thinks the girl may be seized by the devil. To assist with the difficult task of performing an exorcism, the priest sends in an expert.
