World Of Universal is Taking a New Direction

World Of Universal has undergone major changes since I founded it on May 31, 2014. It originally launched as an Instagram page that largely covered Universal Orlando Resort until I expanded coverage to Universal Studios Hollywood. Now, World Of Universal covers all Universal destinations with a small focus on films produced by the Universal company. With the help of the World Of Universal team, we have posted the latest Universal theme park news, and we have been the first numerous times to report on breaking developments, including reporting on brand new patents revealing new technology. Additionally, we have posted some of the most detailed information through our vacation planning guides to help visitors get the most out of their trip. Providing up-to-date news and helpful information has been a passion of mine, which is why I launched the site. I specifically launched the site covering solely Universal parks because I possessed an annual pass to Universal Orlando, and this allowed me to provide the latest content with helpful guides. While this is and always will be the goal of World Of Universal, I’d like to give World Of Universal a new meaning.

The word “universal” means “of, relating to, or characteristic of all or the whole; applicable everywhere or in all cases; general; affecting, concerning, or involving all; present everywhere.” The word virtually applies to any event and any happening in the world.

When I launched World Of Universal, I used “world” to refer to a location or a place—a place where you can find content discussing the Universal parks. Taking “world” and the name of the Universal company, I founded World Of Universal to highlight what the site would cover. However, I want to take the site in a new direction. I’d like to take the true meaning of the word “universal” and put it to use in what the site’s blog will cover in the future. I’d like this to be a world of “involving all.” In other words, I’d like this to be a place that discusses topics that universally matter in travel and entertainment. This includes covering universally everything in entertainment and travel, such as films produced by other companies, destinations not owned by Universal such as Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, as well as a section on the site dedicated to providing recipes for popular meals in the theme parks.

While we will push to cover more topics, we will consistently strive to be the premier source for the most up-to-date Universal news and information, as this is what we do best. This transition will in no way impact our Universal theme park coverage. This site was founded on covering these parks, so I see it as a necessity to speak to our roots by continually providing the most up-to-date and informative Universal news because this is how the site received its fans. I want to make this transition to allow contributors to better share their memories and views on topics as well as to provide even more content across social media and on this website. Furthermore, I want to provide the same content you enjoyed from us and apply it to future topics we will cover. Again, this will not impact our Universal theme park coverage, for they will continue to be the main topic we discuss and they will continue to be the only destinations we provide vacation planning tools to.


In the above image to the left, I have displayed the logo we’ve used for about three years. To the right, is the new logo we will begin using. I have decided to make this change to better represent what the site will cover in the future. The reason for the shortened version of the name is to ensure that the logo is more visible on mobile devices and when used in smaller scales. The purpose for the earth is to represent the word “world” as well as “universal” all while also reflecting on our roots of covering the Universal parks. In addition to this, the North American continent was purposely emphasized to showcase the main location of the destinations we will be covering. Furthermore, an incomplete framed Earth was chosen to show that our goal will never quite be complete—we will always continue to push our boundaries to provide better content to our readers. Lastly, a simple logo was selected rather than a complex logo to give it a sleek, modern, and up-to-date appearance—a transition many companies have made with their logos.

This transition will not begin immediately but rather over time. This transition will also not majorly affect the site’s appearance, but you may see minor changes on our social media accounts and website.
